Terms of use
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Welcome to elephantoo.com ("Elephantoo", "we", "us"), a free website for learning programming. By using the site you agree to these terms. They are written to be short and readable — if anything is unclear, just contact us.
Using the lessons#
All lessons, quizzes and blog posts on Elephantoo are free to read and use for your own personal learning, including in a classroom or study group.
- You may copy, run and change the code examples in your own projects, homework and practice — that's what they're for.
- You may quote short parts of a lesson and share links to it, as long as you credit Elephantoo and link back to the original page.
- Please don't copy or republish lessons wholesale (whole lessons, courses or large parts of them) on another website, app, book, video or course, and don't present our content as your own, without our written permission.
The Elephantoo name, logo and the original text, images and design of the site belong to Elephantoo.
Code examples are provided "as is"#
Code examples and commands are provided as is, without any warranty of any kind. They are meant for learning, not as production-ready software. Before you use code in a real project — especially commands that delete files, change system settings or touch databases — read it, understand it and test it somewhere safe. You use code and commands from the site at your own risk.
Accuracy#
We work hard to keep lessons correct and up to date, but programming languages, libraries and tools change, and mistakes happen. We can't guarantee that every lesson is complete, accurate or current. If you spot an error, please let us know at elephantoo2907@gmail.com — corrections are always welcome.
Third-party links and ads#
Lessons and pages may link to other websites (for example official documentation, Instagram or Facebook). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
Elephantoo is free because it shows advertising, served by Google AdSense and its partners. Ads are provided by third parties; we don't choose individual ads and don't endorse the products or services advertised. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them. To learn how ads and cookies are used, see our privacy policy.
No accounts#
You don't need an account to use Elephantoo, and we don't offer one. Your lesson progress, quiz scores and theme preference are stored only in your own browser's localStorage. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, that progress may be lost, and we can't recover it for you.
Fair use of the site#
Please use the site normally and don't try to disrupt it — for example by attempting to break its security, overloading it with automated requests, or scraping it to republish the content.
Limitation of liability#
Elephantoo is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, its content or its code examples. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.
Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date below always shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
